John B. Crane: Film Evangelist

I'm John Crane and I'd like to personally welcome you to John Crane Photography. I've studied art most of my life, focusing on graphic art and photo journalism in college. In the early 70's I received my first 35mm film camera as a Christmas gift and I haven't stopped shooting since.

I consider photography an emotional response to the world; what's seen, heard and felt on a conscious and subconscious level. I believe photography begins to reveal, at least partially, what resides within the one holding the camera; a glimpse into your very heart and soul. For that reason the journey of photography can be a very personal one.

My faith in Jesus Christ as redeemer and savior is the guiding force in my life. Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." This gift of photography I've been given I give back to He who created all, to bring Him glory.
